TRIATHLON & SWIMMING FOR YOUTH AND JUNIOR ATHLETES
Team Atomica program based on Triathlon Canada’s Long Term Athlete Development guidelines
Mandate: Create a way for young people in the GTA to get involved in the sport of Triathlon
Vision: Community-oriented, fun, effective group workouts and coaching
Team Atomica invites any young person to come out to a practice and get involved, meet others and learn what they are capable of as a swimmer, cyclist, and runner.
Our schedule is designed in line with long term athlete development standards for triathlon which indicate that youth 11 yrs and younger should swim 1-2 times a week while those 12-15 yrs old should be swimming 2-3 times a week (+ a bike and/or a run)
Not sure if you want to do all three sports? That’s okay! We have swimmers who just want to swim, and cyclists who just want to bike. Come out to the practices that mean the most to you. The important part is that you have fun, get fit and learn more about the sport.
