Regent Park Sport Field (480 Shuter Street)
  • Tuesdays 6:00-7:05 PM May 7-August 13

NOT your run of the mill club run!   These run workouts, like Team Atomica’s wildly popular Masters swims, will be focused on economy of motion, have feedback on form, and be guided by proper training principles.  Get ready to improve your run economy, super charge your run speed, and get insight into, why you are doing, what you are doing.  Team Atomica’s expert coaches will start with drills and activation; and then progress to interval work, using the variety of terrain near Corktown Commons, the Bayview running path, Riverdale stairs, and the Riverdale track.  Expect a 20 min warmup, 25-35 min of intervals, and 5-10 min warm down.

GOOD TO KNOW: both the Regent Park Community Centre and Pam McConnell Aquatic Centre have showers and lockers available free of charge. Both centres can be used as a cooling space, before or after workouts, in warm weather OR as a refuge in the case of inclement weather!

NO RUN dates July 2 & 9 2024

All abilities are welcome and sessions are designed to allow the coach to work with riders of all skill levels helping develop bike handling, group riding and any other area needed skills. You will be surprised at how much you can learn and how fit you can become with a weekly hard bike ride in the hands of an experienced coach!
BRICK RUN Option: Stick around after the High Park BIKE workout for a quick run boost.  You will get coach-provided tips and instruction on how to improve your transition times, including how to set up a transition and ‘free speed’ opportunities. The run portion will be a rotating mix of hills for strength and power, and flats to work on leg speed.
