Our 2x per week New Swimmer Program is perfect for those wanting to learn freestyle/front crawl. This 2x per week format (versus 1x per week) allows for quicker motor pattern acquisition and ultimately, is a more effective and efficient way to solidify new skills learned in every session.

This program is based on the Total Immersionwww.totalimmersion.net – swim coaching methodology. An emphasis will be placed on learning to feel- and be safe in- the water, and moving with ease and efficiency.  The coaching method used is based on swimming from the core in a balanced, floating position. This mini session offers a progression of drills and skills leading to a way of swimming freestyle/front crawl that is streamlined, efficient and precise. The goal of this Program it to give swimmers the skill to move forward in the water with lowest effort and highest comfort.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT  All participants should be comfortable in the water but no specific swimming skills are required. This program is not aquaphobic-friendly (we recommend private swimming lessons for those with aquaphobia)

The 5 Pillars program is designed for people who can swim but are looking for a deeper understanding of the connection between their bodies and the water. This program is designed for experienced or beginner swimmers of any level, who feel like they have plateaued or don’t understand how to become more efficient.  Team Atomica’s unique way of teaching the essential 5 swim elements will help athletes identify what they are doing, why it is important, and how to improve.  On deck video feedback will be provided by the coach.

These elements are not the usual ‘high elbow’ and ‘kick from the hips’ tropes that run of the mill coaches use. Team Atomica’s 5 Pillars focus on the foundational elements of Breathing, Floating, Kicking, Balancing and Sculling and are presented in a way that will transform the way you think about your swimming.  Swimmers will come away with a conceptual knowledge and a practical approach of how to apply the 5 Pillars in the most efficient way for their unique body. The 5 Pillars are useful for all strokes and can have a particularly strong impact for people wanting to swim continuously and for longer distances.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT  Beginner (able to swim minimum 25m continuously) to Advanced  – NOT a learn to swim program
